Småfolk

We love Smafolk! Every season we see a new collection of fabulous and funky prints, using bold and vibrant colours. All Smafolk clothes wash and hold their shape extremely well, which means Helene loves them as much as her four-year old son.

Småfolk directly translates as “Small People” and was founded in 2005 in Denmark.

Småfolk prints include fun animals, racing cars, pretty flowers and apples – all prints, patterns and colours are inspired by the happy 70's and are full of inspiration and motivation for childrens fun and games. All materials are soft, colourful and comfortable - nothing fits too tightly.

All Smafolk clothes are Oeko-Tex certified, so are 100% free from chemicals and other harmful substances

Katvig

Katvig began in 2003 in Denmark with the aim of attracting fashion conscious parents and the classic stripes are now being worn by children of all ages. Katvig are a fashion-led yet environmentally conscious organisation.

The Katvig collection is full of vibrant colours, great prints and fun details and is 100% free of chemicals and harmful substances, tested to Oeko-Tex 100 standards. Organic Cotton, Bamboo and Hemp have been used throughout the collection, all creating soft textiles. Much of the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter 2011 collection is verified by GOTS - the Global Organic Textile Standard.

Katvig are actively looking at all areas of production to eventually attain manufacturing processes that are as green and sustainable as possible. This applies to everything from environmentally friendly fabrics, a sustainable choice of materials and the recycling of boxes for despatching products.

Ej sikke Lej

Ej sikke lej was founded in Denmark in 2004. Inspiration came from some funny animal prints, particularly of an owl, found in some old needlework books. The owl went on to become the trademark Ej sikke lej logo. Different animals have since been added to the collection, but always with the same unique style.

The most important thing for Ej sikke lej is designing clothes to encourage children to play and have fun.

Since spring/summer 2009 all Ej sikke lej clothes are either Oeko-Tex certified or organically produced.

DUNS Sweden

DUNS Sweden was founded in Sweden in 2007. Their clothes are fun and consist of bold prints and bright colours.

Based in Copenhagen, Urban Elk presented their first collection in Autumn 2006. Their clothes are inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of simplicity and high quality, and are comfortable to wear.

Urban Elk uses natural products without any chemicals or other harmful substances, avoiding synthetic fabrics which do little to help the skin breathe.

For their main line, they try as far as possible to only use fabrics made of 100% cotton, and their ORGANIC line only uses organically grown cotton. This means the cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Their suppliers and manufacturers are all internationally certified, and adhere to the required standards for sustainable production in consideration of the environment, as well as delivering a continuing high level of quality.

Urban Elk guarantees that their products are not made from child labour.
